16.09.2006. Crikva Open - Boat Wakeboard Croatian & Slovenian Championships
At Balustrada beach in Crikvenica Waterski club Crikvenica and Wakeboard club Krk hosted the Boat Wakeboard Croatian & Slovenian Championships. In good atmosphere and weather conditions, 6 finalists, towed by Air Nautic boat, did their best to impress the judges and spectators with attractive tricks. The overall winner is Robert Pokovec (WbC Krk), second Jurica Moric (WbC Krk), and in a fierce battle for the third place judges decided in favor of young Lovro Klepac (WbC Krk), in front of Mihovil Brebric (WbC Paragon). Sasa Kovacic (WbC Krk) took the 5th place, and in the 6th place, representing B4Sport Academy, came the only girl finalist - Silvia Troselj (WbC Krk). This event concluded boat and cable wakeboard competition season 2006. All finalists won the prizes from the general sponsors of the event - company Kirica from Crikvenica and the Tourist board of city Crikvenica.

On Sunday, 25 September 2005 lake Vukovina in Velika Gorica hosted the Croatian Waterski Championships. 17 athletes from 6 clubs competed in slalom, tricks and jump.

Croatian Waterski Federation and Waterski club Losinj hosted on Saturday, 22 April Mali Losinj Cup - the first Croatian waterski competition in 2006. Twenty best Croatian and Slovenian waterskiers and riders competed in disciplines slalom and wakeboard. Numerous spectators cheered their favorites in a nice and sunny weather and atmosphere, and three judges evaluated the athletes' performance. The best man in slalom was Boris Sihtar from Opatija, and women Jelena Matkovic from Zagreb. In wakeboard men Slovenian Robert Pokovec won in front of the best Croatian rider Mihovil Brebric, and the best women was Silvia Troselj from Rijeka. During the week before the competition there was a waterski and wakeboard camp with instructors and two boats available for all attendants - beginners and advanced skiers. Camp and competition were organized by Waterski club Losinj and Croatian Waterski Federation, sponsored by the Tourist board of Mali Losinj and Losinjska plovidba - shipyard ltd. Whilst slalom is one of the classic waterski disciplines, which Croatian practice almost exclusively behind the boat, wakeboard is a younger sport, summer variant of snowboard, in Croatian usually practiced more on the cableways. The next competition on Croatian calendar is on 27 May at Cable Krk - T-Com Croatia Open, the first stop of the European Cable Wakeboard Tour.

Waterski club Crikvenica placed a slalom course at the attractive location on the city beach, and the best Croatian waterskier Jelena Matkovic started with trainings. 06.04.2006. Camp & competition in Mali Losinj
Mali Losinj bay will from Monday 17 till Friday 21 April host a waterski and wakeboard camp. All watersport fans can try out the mono skiing, trick skiing or wakeboarding. Every day from 10 to 17 instructors and two specially equipped boats will be available. On Saturday, 22 April at noon starts Mali Losinj Championships - the first Croatian waterski competition in 2006. Camp and the competition are organized by Waterski club Losinj and sponsored by Tourist Board of Mali Losinj and Croatian Waterski Federation. The best names of Croatian waterskiing will take part, in tournament Jelena Matkovic and Boris Sihtar, and in wakeboard Mihovil Brebric, Silvia Troselj, and a Slovenian guest Robert Pokovec. 25.09.2005. Croatian Waterski Championships
On Sunday, 25 September 2005 lake Vukovina in Velika Gorica hosted the Croatian Waterski Championships. Fifteen sportsmen from four clubs competed in slalom, tricks and jumps.
